Happy Halloween! It’s that time of year where the spirits roam the streets and the witches cauldrons are going double bubble toil and trouble. Need something to do to join the haunting? Bellingham  has endless festivities to keep one’s inner vampire’s thirst quenched.Â
If you’re 21 and older, various night clubs are hosting their very own haunting celebrations. Wearing a costume is not only encouraged, but there are contests for the best costume at the club. The Underground will be taking on the persona of the Underworld for two nights; Glow, The Wild Buffalo and Rumors Cabaret are a few others who will be having these wild parties.Â
Are you still craving a fun celebration but aren’t up for the bumping bass of the club? Check out some local breweries to taste some pumpkin ale! Aslan Brewery is currently are featuring something quite sinister called the Rocky Horror Pumpkin Ale which they describe as pumpkin pie in a glass. How much better can a beer get than that?Â
Speaking of Rocky Horror, it is no secret the the Mount Baker Theater will be playing the famous cult classic on Hallow’s Eve Night! General admission is $15 and curtains open at 8:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. This spectacular show is not one to miss!
What about celebrating Halloween while the sun is still shining? Or at least the moon hasn’t risen for the warewolves to howl at. Don’t worry, there is plenty to do not including carving your own jack-o-lantern! Bellewood Acres and Stoney Ridge Farm are both open on Halloween day for anyone craving cider and doughnuts, or who is in need of a last minute pumpkin!Â
Feeling like a fright? There are also Halloween scare attractions near Bellingham one can venture to to get their scream fix. Scream Fair Haunted House in Lynden is only a short drive for thrill seakers. This spooky attraction takes place at the Lynden fair grounds and is crawling with creepy creatures and the undead. Â It is only open until 9:30 Halloween night and then the frights must wait til next year.Â
Whether you decided to go out and dance with the witches, ghosts and goblins of the night or stay in and indulge in your favorite scary (or non scary!) Halloween movie, make sure that Halloween 2015 is a good haunt. But remember everyone, be safe this weekend and trick or treat!
