Student Teacher Candidate Deadline

Wesleyan’s School of Education’s Student Teacher candidate deadline is quickly approaching.

Any teacher education candidate who is expecting to student-teach during the Fall 2014 semester must meet the following requirements:

  • complete an application and submit it to the School of Education Office before the Monday, October 7 deadline
  • register and present an admission ticket for the Praxis II content specific test(s) and the appropriate level PLT test with the application
  • pass all tests prior to beginning student teaching

Teacher education candidates who wish to take 300-level courses or enroll in Clinical II must be fully admitted into the Teacher Education Program. Application packets for admission to the Teacher Education Program are available in the School of Education Office, room 21 of the Administration Building.

All applications must be completed and submitted to the Teacher Education Committee by Monday, October 7, 2013. Cut off dates will be strictly enforced. 

Students who have questions or wish to obtain an application are encouraged to stop by the School of Education Office, located in the Administration Building, room 21. The School of Education Office may also be reached by phone at 304-473-8045.
