No one understands a busy schedule better than a college student. But how do you maintain your style with such a hectic routine? Well, wonder no more! There are quick and simple ways to plan, or should I say schedule, your style.

The need for scheduling style has less to do with the actual classes that we take and more about how we spend our time in between classes. You may think, “Hey, every college student is busy! What does it matter what I dress like?” I cannot stress enough the importance of your overall self-image. When you dress like you are stressed and exhausted, you are going to feel stressed and exhausted. You may think that chilling at the cafeteria in your sweats from the gym doesn’t matter, but that is the only time that some people see you. Impressions will begin to form about the way you take care of yourself. But, like I said, don’t fear! This is very easily fixable!

One of the most common areas of being too busy for style irronically comes from staying active. Whether it be a dance class, yoga session or workout, I understand not having the time to go home and change. The way to solve this is create your own little survial kit: towel, deodorent, body spray, brush, possibly a little foundation. Then throw in a cute jacket and an easy-to-pack pair of booties and you’re ready to go!

A similar problem occurs with student athletes or people who also work while in college. It can be very challenging to keep up your style when you are stuck in a uniform most of your day. The best way to solve this is to be very aware of your time management. Find out what time of the day you can dress for you and what times you happily don your uniform (a survival kit wouldn’t hurt you either).

No matter what your circumstance, the key things for your busy style survival kit are as follows:

  • Layering
  • Fun accessories
  • Easy to pack shoes/boots
  • Versatile clothes
  • A touch-up makeup kit
  • Hairbrush

So, when you truly do it all, you too can rock the campus with your conveniently scheduled style!

Stay classy, ladies!

I am adopted from Russia and was raised in West Virginia. I am a double major in English (Writing Concentration) and Musical Theatre. I love art in many different forms be it writing, singing, acting, drawing/painting, or design. I adore fashion and it has helped me become the person that I want to be in life. I am a very open person and love talking to people, so feel free to ask me anything! I am honored to be a part of the Her Campus team and I hope that my writing will bring you a smile. If I'm not in the theater or typing up my version of the great American fashion column, you can always hear me coming from the click of my heels. My advice to all: Stay classy!
