Name: Rachel Channell
Major: Theatre and English
Hometown: Elkins, W.Va.
Campus Involvement: Alpha Psi Omega (Theater honorary)
Her Campus: How would you describe your style?
Rachel Channell: A little bit bohemian, a little bit biker.Â
HC: Where are your favorite places to shop?
RC: Anywhere cheap – Consignment stores, Marshalls and Forever 21.
HC: What are some of your favorite trends right now?
RC: I love that crosses are popular in prints and jewelry. It’s almost like Madonna is making a comeback. Asymmetrical skirts are fun, too.     Â
HC: If you could raid any celebrity’s closet, whose would it be and why?
RC: Lana Del Rey. She’s 50% stone-cold badass and 50% first lady. Or Miranda Kerr, because she makes heels and leggings look socially acceptable.Â
HC: Do you have a favorite designer? If so, who?
RC: I feel like the Prabal Gurung collections always manage to be edgy while still complementing the natural line of the body.
HC: If you could live in any era for its style, which would you choose?
RC: The mid 1600s, so I could be a pirate.
HC: Would you rather splurge on jewelry, shoes or purses?
RC: Shoes. Â Â Â
HC: What is the process you go through when selecting an outfit?
RC: I tend to try on about 20 articles of clothing each morning before throwing them all on the floor and bed, deciding that I hate everything I own, and putting the first outfit back on. Â Â Â
HC: What do you feel most confident wearing?
RC: Can’t go wrong with black jeans and a leather jacket.  Â
HC: How do you dress for the unpredictable Buckhannon weather?
RC: I bought an umbrella that matches my rain boots.Â
HC: Do you have a favorite color(s) to wear?
RC: Not really, but I tend to wear a lot of dark clothing
HC: How has your style changed since entering college, if at all?
RC: No, not too much.Â
HC: What advice would you give girls who are looking to improve their style?
RC: Look for what you feel comfortable in and what compliments your body shape. Throw out all of your fanny packs and slap bracelets, and absolutely NO Crocks-in-socks. Â Â Â
There you have it, collegiettes!
