This week’s campus celebrity is Buckhannon native, Mariah Stocker! Mariah is a senior here at Wesleyan and majoring in arts administration with an emphasis in music.
You may have seen her around campus, having major roles in both Alpha Gamma Delta and Sigma Alpha Iota, the honorary music fraternity for women on campus. In her four years, she has held many positions in AGD such as Vice President of Recruitment, Gamma Experience Coordinator, Risk Management Chair and Spring Sing Director. In SAI she has held positions in Fundraising, Secretary, Social Chair, Vice President of Membership and Vice President of Ritual.
“My favorite part of SAI is that we are such a diverse group of women,” Mariah said. “I would have never met half of them but we all share a love of music and I love that is what brings us together.”
SAI also has a very special philanthropy called Joyful Noise where each week the sisters get together with members of the Buckhannon community with special needs and they sing with them! Be sure to check out this wonderful group’s concert after Thanksgiving Break!
