Involvement at West Virginia Wesleyan College is often times why people choose this campus, over other institutions. Not only is Lily Kurfman the President of Zeta Tau Alpha, but she is also the President of Sigma Alpha Iota. She leads the organizations with pride and determination and deserves to be recognized. Of course, those are not the only organizations Lily belongs to. Active on campus, she is also a member of the Concentus Vocum, Concert Chorale, and is a Worship Leader at New Community Church. Lily Kurfman is an Elementary Education major with an Endorsement in Early Education also studying a Music minor.
Students can recognize Lily on campus because she always walks around with a smile on her face. Lily is a positive person with an extremely bubbly personality. Her main goal is to ensure that everyone she encounters throughout the day is smiling and positive just like her! Lily also is extremely humble in everything she does. She wishes to be a person that other people look up to, and many of her peers will tell you that she is very successful in doing so. Her fear is coming off as self-absorbed. Lily says that she genuinely tries to love everyone. She is never afraid to tackle a challenge and she states “I hope people can see that even when you make mistakes you need to forgive yourself and move on”. Lily has a good amount of advice to give to people and she will go out of her way to help people as much as possible. If you see her around campus, do not hesitate to say hello, she loves meeting new people!
