Lauren Spadafore

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

Her Campus WVWC is proud to introduce the last Campus Celebrity of 2016, Lauren Spadafore! As our flawless Instagram contributor, we have to admit that we’re a little biased. But if you’ve seen Lauren around campus, you know that the positivity this kind-hearted fashionista spreads is infectious. But don’t just take our word for it; see for yourself!

Hometown: Lumberport, W.Va.

Major/minor: Public Relations with a minor in business

Why did you choose WVWC? I chose Wesleyan because of the size. I went to a high school of 100 students, so I wanted to stay in a small community. Wesleyan also has unique opportunities and I knew I could get my voice heard.

What activities are you involved in on campus? I’m in the WVWC 4-H club, FCA, and work alongside the Gender Equality/Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence WE LEAD teams.

Why did you join Her Campus? I joined Her Campus because I love female empowerment. Women who come together and build each other up is extremely hard to find nowadays, and I’m happy I could easily find that type of support within this organization.

What are your summer plans? My summer is going to be very spontaneous. I’m planning on seeing Beyoncé at the end of this month, attending two 4-H camps, going to Warped Tour with my best friend Grant, and also visiting my future roommate Hannah in Maryland. Between these events, I’m going to go on adventures around the state and enjoy these three months of stress-free living!

What are you looking most forward to about being a sophomore? I’m excited to come back in the fall and see all the new Her Campus members. Our chapter made a name for ourselves this year by not only reaching Pink as our chapter level, but also becoming an official organization on campus! Next year, we can only improve and I’m pumped to see what we accomplish! My freshman year was really about getting my foot in the water and I can’t wait to come back and really take advantage of all the doors I’ve opened this year! In the fall, I plan to join Greek Life and I am so excited about it! Next year is looking up for me, and with the love and support from my dear friends, anything is possible!
