The Promoter
This friend tends to post statuses that have a lot of enthusiasm and exclamation points. The posts are all about the business they’re involved and usually a product we’ve all heard about, but since you’re their close and personal Facebook friend they’re ready to give you the deal of a lifetime!!!
The One Who Has “Wanderlust”
This person is constantly sharing or posting places they NEED to go. Their wall can be found full of pictures of foreign countries and their bio likely says something like, “We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”
The Fit Friend
One look at this person’s Facebook and you’ll start regretting every unhealthy thing you’ve ever eaten and promise yourself not to eat sweets ever again (well for at least 20 minutes). This friend’s Facebook is dedicated to fitness. Between the gym selfies and the link to the map that shows their run for the day, I’m not sure if they ever stop.
The Amateur Meteorologist
*Insert picture of the weather forecast here* This person not only shares weather posts and posts screenshots of their weather app forecast, they also take pictures of the outdoors to let us know what’s really going on. I don’t know how we would ever know the weather without this friend.
The One Who Is Always Ready for a Fight
As soon as you see this person’s status you better just break out the popcorn. Even if this person doesn’t want to fight themselves, they post a topic for a “friendly debate.” The topic is usually extremely controversial, and all comments usually end with “that’s just my opinion, though.” I have to admit – these friends do make the timeline a little more interesting for us all.
The One Who Lives in Fear of Being Hacked
This friend posts maybe 5 statuses a week explaining that all accounts are getting hacked but if you copy the message your account will be safe. Maybe this person has a little paranoia or maybe they just think it’s better to be safe than sorry. Either way, I’m not sure how the message saves them from being hacked.
The Memes Only Friend
I’m not even sure if this person speaks with words anymore. Their page is filled with memes for every occasion. You always know when that person is on Facebook because your timeline fills with memes, but never any actual words.
The One with the “Fur Babies”
Having this person as a friend serves a dual purpose, you get to see how they’re doing AND you get to see super cute pictures of their pets or “fur babies” as most call them. This friend usually has some normal statuses but then overloads the timeline with pictures or stories about their pets. In some extreme cases the pet or pets will have their own accounts, which the person will tag in said posts.
The Accomplished One
Ah, this friend is a tricky one. You want to be happy for them. At the same time, deep down, you feel a little bit of envy for how much they have going for them. You still hit the “like” button of course, and maybe even wish them congratulations.
The One Who is Too Hip for Their Own Good
This friend is using all the cool lingo before it’s even cool. Sometimes their statuses are hard to read, but one day we’ll figure out what they’re trying to say.
The “Happy Birthday”
This person is always there to wish you happy birthday, but you aren’t sure where they are for the rest of the year. Every year they post on your wall, but you never really see them post anything else. Oh well, you can never have too many posts for your birthday.
The Best Type of Friend
The best type of Facebook friend is the one who is always there for your posts. You only have 11 likes on that selfie? Don’t worry, this friend is coming in with the 12th. In some rare and special cases, this friend even comments on your posts- reminding you that Facebook really can be a great place for socializing.
It takes all types of friends to make the Facebook world go ‘round!
