Sometimes it feels like the whole world is working against you. Maybe you didn’t get that dream internship that you were longing to work since you first heard about it. Maybe an old friendship fell through the cracks and nothing remains. Maybe you’re going through a breakup.

No matter the situation – it all happens for a reason. It may be cliché, but it’s true.

There are more internships. There are others that you haven’t even met that are searching for someone exactly like you. There are other significant others who may pop into your life at the most unexpected time and truly make a different.

These doors close so that you can thoroughly end a chapter and begin a new one. You have to believe that everything will work out. There is always something to look forward to. Tomorrow could be the day that you’ve been waiting for your whole life.

Close the doors that need to be closed. Do not necessarily lock it, or burn those bridges on a sour note, but if there is someone who is not cherishing your presence or that is toxic to you – close it. You will be better off. Even through all the hurt and pain and anguish, it will be worth it in the end.

Spend time with new people. Embrace freedom. Find yourself. Explore. Do what you need to do – and don’t look back.

There’s more doors itching to be opened.

Greetings! My name is Graeson Baker and I am currently a junior PR major here at WVU. For more info about me, feel free to check out my personal website at http://www.graesonbrooke.co.
Hi ladies and gents, my name is Mel, Melanie if you're feelin' fancy. I'm a senior studying advertising, political science and fashion at West Virginia University. In addition to my studies, I am the Campus Correspondent for the WVU HC Chapter! You can hear me on the radio at U92 FM reporting the news and hosting morning shows. If I'm not there, I'm most likely at the local Panera eating my body weight in broccoli cheddar soup or writing about the daily, awkward encounters I experience. I represenative of the college of media as an ambassador and the prez of the magazine club. Oversized sweatshirts and jean on jean are my aesthetics. Lover, not a fighter unless you tell me Joe Jonas wasn't the best Jonas. Laters, baby.
