There’s a big problem brewing in our oceans and it is time to make a change. According to Ocean Crusaders, there is believed to be 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in our oceans to date. While some of this debris sinks, many of it floats on the surface and becomes a hazard to marine creatures big and small. Ocean Crusaders also states that over 100,000 marine creatures die each year from plastic debris and nearly 1 million sea birds die as well.

It is absolutely heartbreaking that man-made materials are polluting our oceans and killing the innocent marine life that inhabit them. It’s time for a change, but what can you do? Brands like Sand Cloud are joining forces with marine conservation efforts to help save our oceans.

Sand Cloud is a beach towel and apparel brand that donates 10% of their profits to saving marine life. They have partnered with conservation groups such as the Marine Conservation Institute, the Surfrider Foundation, the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, and the Sand Diego Coastkeeper to ensure that our marine life gets the help it needs.

Sand Cloud’s beach towels are unique and full of color. They are hand-loomed in Turkey from 100% Turkish cotton, making them super soft and durable enough to withstand the sand and sunshine. Not near a beach? Sand Cloud’s towels are also great for a day at the river, a picnic in the park, or as a blanket on a chilly night. My favorite way to use my towel when I am not out and about is to use it as a tapestry in the room! If towels aren’t your thing, Sand Cloud also offers t-shirts, jewelry, and stickers.

Every purchase helps marine life, no matter how big or small.

Love the brand and want to do more to help? Sand Cloud is always looking for Ambassadors to help promote their brand and save marine life. As an ambassador, you will receive a unique discount code that your friends and family can use on their orders. Check out their Instagram for more information on how to become an ambassador.

Every little purchase can help to make the difference in the lives of a marine animal.
