Ethical and sustainable fashion has become increasingly relevant with more and more fashion brands committing to sustainable ethics and consumers moving away from companies with little to no incentive to be sustainable/ethical. There are tons of fashion brands and companies that are fully sustainable and ethical on the market, but when it comes to activewear, it can be harder to find companies that check all the boxes. So whether you are a full-on fitness baddie, just getting started on a new gym grind or just somewhere in between, here are 5 sustainable activewear companies that you can look good and feel good in all while doing good for the environment. 

GIRLFRIEND COLLECTIVE: $$-$$$

 Girlfriend Collective’s activewear is made from recycled polyester and non-toxic dyes, the brand is also fair trade certified and offers an incredible range of sizes and styles that flatter all body types.

TEEKI: $$-$$$

All of Teeki’s fun and spunky activewear is made from recycled water bottles. Teeki manufactures all items in the US, not only providing jobs but reducing their carbon footprint as well.DHARMA BUMS  $$

Dharma Bums is an Australian activewear company, promotes sustainability by labeling, designing and manufacturing all clothing items in Australia with fair labor and eco-friendly dyes and materials.

It doesn’t get more sustainable than Thread For Thought. T4T sources the most sustainable materials for their apparel including organic cotton, recycled polyester and Lenzing modal. Their factories have the highest sustainability and ethics certifications and have partnered with the International Rescue Committee to give back to impoverished and in-need communities worldwide.

Vyayama’s apparel is all ethically and sustainably made from eucalyptus in Europe. This company is also 100% certified by the European Oeko-tex Standard 100, ensuring there is no use of toxic/harmful dyes and materials in its production. 

There are a plethora of conscious activewear brands on the market and these brands are just a handful of the various options. With a range of styles to fit everyone and their lifestyle, you can find pieces that make you feel confident and with the bonus of not damaging our environment and supporting some incredible causes as well.
