This weeks Campus Celeb is Deonna Gandy!  She is a motivated, go-getter with a passion for fashion.  Deonna is a Business Marketing major involved in several curricular activities.  Aside from being a Victoria’s Secret Pink Campus Rep and President of NSCS, she is also a Resident Assistant for the Honors College at WVU and is apart of a club called “I’m that Girl” which is a female empowerment group in her hall.  Her interest in fashion began when she was given the chance to model for a number of companies including Nordstrom, Pittsburgh Steelers, Rue21, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.   She hopes that one day she can blend her passion for marketing and fashion into a career.

Q: What do you love most about working for Victoria’s Secret Pink?

A: I love the brand of Victoria Secret PINK in general, and being able to represent a brand that I am truly passionate about is something I love the most about working for Victoria Secret PINK!

Q: What are your favorite pieces of Pink Apparel right now?

A: My favorite piece of PINK apparel right now is the entire date bra & panty collection as well as the new Varsity Spirit Crew that has our school’s colors all over it! Super cute, and comfortable! PINK LOVES WVU!

Q: How have you learned to manage your time so that you can effectively carry out your role as a VS Pink Campus Rep and the President of NSCS?

A: I had to learn the hard way how to manage my time for both of the positions I am in. I mixed dates and times up at times, and sometimes forget things that I may have needed for a certain event. However, I can honestly say through all of the mistakes made they have helped me to become more aware of my responsibilities and also more patient as well. Through it all, I have learned to utilize my agenda effectively and organize my dates and times on my phone; as well as set reminders and alarms for different task I have to execute as well! Siri is my best friend!

Q: How have these leadership roles helped you for your future career?

A: These leadership roles have helped me tremendously for my future career! I am a business marketing major, and would like to go into the business industry one day (specifically fashion design and merchandising). I would also like to possibly start my own business as well! Throughout both my endeavors on campus I have learned that no matter what I choose to do in my future, it is important to be a good communicator and organized leader through it all!
