20 Things A College Girl Should Know

College is the time for wild nights, meeting new people, being away from home, getting an education, and becoming more independent. However, there are some things a college girl just needs to know:

1. You’re most likely not going to stay with your high school boyfriend 

2. Freshman 15….IT EXISTS 

3. Don’t feel the need to go out every single night…Bent will always be there

4. Go out on a weekday…that opportunity stops in the real world

5. Travel as much as possible. Look into studying abroad 

 

6. Keep in contact with your parents, they miss you more than you know

7. Don’t come to college looking for your future husband, and be sure to spend time with your girlfriends!

8. But don’t hesitate to settle down, if the right guy comes along 

9. Don’t be the “girl”, You’re name will get around and that will be all you are known for

10. Get involved on campus. Join organizations, play intramural sports, or Go Greek!

11. Get Drunk Food. There is no shame in getting a hotdog and taco truck in the same night

12. Don’t be afraid to splurge. You might be broke, but buy the new dress

13. Stay close to your college friends, they could be your future bridesmaids 

14. Boxed wine should become your first choice . It’s cheap, it gets you feeling good, and there is plenty of it!

15. Black clothes will fill your wardrobe. It’s sexy, slimming, and easy to wear on a night out

16. Starbucks is a great start to your day, even if it is making a dent in your wallet

17. You will find it normal to be drinking a natty at 8 am on game day

18. The life science steps are not your friend and they never will be. Cut through Brooks Hall and take the elevator!

19. Go to the library and actually study!

20. Enjoy college it’ll be the best 4 years of your life…unless you end up doing a victory lap
