With midterms happing soon it is easy to get overwhelmed especially if you are not an organized person and forgets easily, like myself. Here are tips to have better control of your school work.
Step 1: Clean Up
This may seem irrelevant but decluttering your space, declutters your head making it better to function. So come on move those bottles out of your desk. The less clutter you’re surrounded with the more able you are to focus on what you need to: like that midterm coming up.
Step 2: Write everything down
There is so many responsibilities throughout the whole day it is hard to remember an assignment for an 8am class or you forgot to look at you syllabus, because let’s be honest we forget to look. Write all you have to do down on the spot.
Step 3: Checklists
This goes hand in hand with writing things down, once you write out everything down, make a checklist of thing that most definitely need to be done that day and the rest of the week and if you have time get a head start on assignments due later on. Writing a checklist takes the burden of having to remember everything. It also keeps you feeling motivated when you’re physically scratching off another item of that seemingly never ending list!
Step 4: Keep due dates in close view
If you are anything like me you will lose your head if it was not attached to you, so if you have a checklist hang it up on your bedroom wall or keep it on your desk. Just try to keep it in one consistent space and vow to never move it.
