Spring break could not come any sooner as we approach the beginning of March. I am definitely ready for a break from the fast paced weeks of college. I thought I would share with anyone who wanted to know where I would love to spend my spring break this year. So if you fit in that category, go ahead and keep reading!

Obviously the beach is the prime location to spend spring break. It’s calming and relaxing, which is just what you want. You can sit under the sun and catch up on some reading. If you go with friends, you can hang out and do many different activities that are even more fun because the water is your backdrop. Any beach will do, but personally I would prefer to go south. Ocean City, Maryland is always a solid choice, but if you really have the funds, then Florida is the place to go. Miami is a travel spot I have on my bucket list! So if you do go here indulge in the amazing culture and atmosphere of this beach town for me.

If I was not in the mood for beach, then a nice town with beautiful architecture will do. When I think of that type of place, my mind goes straight to somewhere like St. Augustine, Florida, Sleepy Hollow, New York or Taos, New Mexico. I enjoy being able to walk around a town and take in the rich history of the buildings that surround me. Plus, most of these places have some really good food to eat that I would for sure take advantage of. Most of these types of places are near some sort of water still so I would try to find the ultimate sunset spots.

New York City would be a cool destination as well, especially since I’m so close from William Paterson. I would love to spend a day and go to the MET because they have this really cool Mayan art exhibit right now that I would love to see. Literally just walking around the city is fun on its own because you never know what you will see or pass, which makes it very exciting and fun. Don’t worry even if you don’t like being around people, you can still find something to do in New York City. Food options are unlimited even if you are on a budget and places to take pictures are endless. New York has something for everyone, so I think its the perfect place to spend a day trip at, especially if you are like me and only around 20 miles away from the city.

Mystic, Connecticut is the next stop on my dream list. This location is now only like two and a half hours away since I live in New Jersey. I never had any intentions on going because of the TV show, but I did later in life watch a movie called Mystic Pizza, so it would be cool to see the pizza place in person. I used to want to visit this town a couple years ago solely because of this doughnut shop, they look like the most scrumptious doughnuts ever! The shop is called Deviant Donuts, and you should go check them out on Instagram and you will too want to go to Mystic Connecticut!

Hope you guys enjoyed reading my short list of places that would be fun to visit this spring break. Maybe I inspired you to go and do something or go to one of these places? If I did I hope you have fun! Anyways enjoy your spring break wherever you’re at, and relax and be happy you don’t have to go to classes.
