For starters, I would like to disclose how I am a Marvel fan, yet this movie was interesting and stunning as I would rate the movie a 7.5/10. The new The Batman movie was released on March 4th, 2022, so I had to take advantage of watching it over my spring break.
Be prepared, use the bathroom beforehand, and wear comfortable clothing as the movie was just about three hours long. Star actors such as Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, etc. were in the movie and they did not disappoint. The director for this movie was Matt Reeves, famous for movies like Cloverfield, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and much more!
After watching the movie, I was always getting a lot of tik toks on my for your page with anime, fashion tips, and recently The Batman movie. There were many who found the movie boring or how dark the movie was. As soon as I saw comments like that, my mouth dropped, many people watch movies and judge without examining the movie overall. Like I mentioned earlier on, I am not a huge DC fan, yet I know Batman is not a perky and joyful superhero like Spiderman or the Flash.
One of the things I liked most about this movie was how instead of some dark superhero, the movie portrayed Batman to who he really was, one of the greatest detectives in the world. Batman was a detective working alongside James Gordon, where he solved riddles and tried to piece together each clue. The way his mind worked when putting together clues was intriguing and it goes back to the comics too!
The only thing I would change is the possible duration of the movie because sitting in the theaters for three hours long where a movie has mainly dark scenes and barely any bright colors can get someone tired (probably only me) but, it is just a suggestion.
If you have about four hours to spare, take some time and go down to your local theatre to watch this movie! Highly recommended to all superhero lovers and even if you’re not a huge DC fan, you aren’t missing out on much! However, there are a lot of easter eggs fans can spot throughout this movie!
