We all have those great days where we appear to be flawless and look perfect to go out, but then we have lots of others where we aren’t looking too hot.  Do you ever look in the mirror before leaving to go out and wonder how to get rid of that one annoying zit on your face or how to control the static or frizz in your hair?  Are you tired of retouching or redoing your nails more than once a week?  It happens to all of us girls.  So many responsibilities come with making ourselves look pretty or just presentable each and every day.  Your appearance is certainly not what shapes the person you are, but it undoubtedly shapes someone’s first impression of you.  So even though it’s true that there’s more to someone than just a pretty face, your beauty is an essential factor.  Sometimes it’s hard to be completely satisfied with our appearances due to time constraints from class and work or other personal commitments.  These constraints have prevented me from spending several periods of time in front of the mirror!  So, after many years of searching for beauty tips and quick tricks for a better daily look, I have found these 5 beauty tips below to be the most helpful and fulfilling!

1.     Toothpaste.  When our “friend” greets us once a month us girls experience many crazy changes in our body and emotions.  The one that affects our appearance is acne.  All of a sudden zits are popping out everywhere!  To control these pimples and prevent them from becoming redheads, dab a very small amount of toothpaste on the pimple before you go to sleep.  When you wake up in the morning, wash the toothpaste off and the zit will either lighten up or disappear!

2.     Diamonds.  We have our days when we wake up and snooze the alarm too many times and are ridiculously short on time before class.  Potentially, this will take away time to do full make-up.  When this happens to me and I am not able to apply my regular make-up, I will be sure to at least wear diamond studded earrings (or, of course, cubic zirconia) to bring out the sparkle in my eyes.  Trust me, there is a difference with and without them!

3.     Nails.  We all hate it when we paint our nails and two days later they are chipping.  Having perfect nails is a pet peeve of mine; therefore, I discovered the trick to making them last longer.  When applying the clear topcoat with the nail color, make sure you are using the same brands!  If you are painting your nails “French Affair” from Essie, the topcoat you need to use is Essie!  The polish will definitely last longer with less chipping and bubbles.

4.     Aroma.  We all want to smell nice all day long without our scent fading and without having to keep spraying or rolling on perfume over and over again.  To make your smell last longer, spray the perfume in your hair.  Your hair will hold the scent much longer than your skin!

5.     Static.  It’s winter season and there is static everywhere on everything!  To control the static in your hair, rub a dryer sheet through small sections of your hair and the static should definitely settle down.
