An Open Letter to the People Who Think My Life is Perfect.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WM chapter.

I may be this happy ball of sunshine, full of positivity but I am this way because I have been through a lot in life.  Hasn’t everyone? Not a single person in the world has had it easy.  Through my hardships, I have been able to put things into perspective.

I have learned that being negative and feeling sorry for yourself will not make your life any easier.  “Sweating the small stuff” (as my mom says), will only make life more stressful.  Life only gets harder and getting upset over things you cannot change is stupid.  Complaining will simply tire the brain and add more stress.

I am not perfect and I am also not always happy.  I choose to put everything behind me and smile through the day rather than dwell on the bad.  It is a choice I decide to make everyday.  Everyday will be filled with annoyances.  There will be bad days and there will be good days.  I choose to celebrate the good and the bad days. The bad days make me stronger and “sometimes you need those bad days to appreciate the good.”

Yes, I may seem like I have this perfect life but before you judge me, maybe consider that I have simply been smart enough to learn from my mistakes.

Sincerely,

Meghan
