Hometown:
Takoma Park, Maryland

Year:2013

Major:Music and History

Campus Activities?William & Mary Symphony, Choir, Tour-Guiding, the Muscarelle Museum and a student choir I conduct.

Favorite Spot On Campus?I have so many, but if I had to pick, I’d say the Wren building, always in the fall and any rainy day.

What is the most important thing you look for in a woman?A good sense of humor, hands down. There are lots of pretty girls, but the best ones make you laugh.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?Time-travel – it’s sort of a history major thing.

What’s your biggest turnoff in terms of women?I always hate when a girl isn’t sure of herself. Self-confidence (maybe just a little cockiness) is a good thing.

What’s your fondest memory from your time so far at William & Mary?At the end of my sophomore year, six of my best friends and I walked to the Governor’s Palace at one or two in the morning. Most of us had already jumped the wall but we decided we all had to do it together. We snuck through to the back of the grounds, sat on that hill and just looked out at the maze. It was great just to sit there, talking with my favorite people.

What is your idea of a great first date?Haha, I’m a bit of a TWAMP, so I love taking girls to lunch and then an art museum. There’s something new to talk about in every room and sometimes its okay just to be quiet and take things in. In DC they’re almost all free and everyone has a café. Coffee’s always a great excuse to keep a date going.

I know you went on a tour of the Mediterranean this summer with the W&M Choir – How was that experience? What was your favorite part of the tour?
It was an absolute blast. There were about sixty of us over there. We gave seven concerts and traveled all through Italy and Greece. It was so much fun seeing new cities, singing for other people, and trying to pretend I spoke Italian by just using Spanish with a lilt. One of my favorite parts was our impromptu performance of Shenandoah in the Pompeii amphitheatre, and I also got to take my girlfriend on a date in Mykonos, Greece – major points.

The first thing you notice when a girl walks into a room? Smile and eyes.

Favorite thing about women at William & Mary?Smarts first. Girls here care about what they study and always have something neat to say. (But I’d be lying if I didn’t also say William & Mary women have a great sense of style).

Your favorite thing a girl can wear in the summertime?I think a lot of William & Mary men would agree with me in saying one of the best things about spring is that first day when campus is packed with girls in sundresses.
