5 Top Valentine’s Day Treats

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WM chapter.

It’s that time of year again. Love is in the air, hearts are plastered onto everything, and your sweet tooth is happy with a serious dose of sugar. Regardless of who you are (or aren’t) celebrating with, we know you’re celebrating with some sweets. But some typical Valentine’s Day treats are better than others, and we here at Her Campus William & Mary have definitely ranked some of the classics.

1. Champagne

Bubbly AND Boozy. What’s not to love? And if you want to trick yourself into thinking it’s healthy, you can just throw some strawberries in there to make a great thing even better.

2. Chocolate-covered strawberries

They’re fruit, so you can lie to yourself about them being healthy. And nothing feels more romantic than chocolate-covered strawberries.

3. Box of assorted chocolates

Honestly, this can go either way, like Valentine’s Day itself. Sometimes you get a really good batch of all winners, but then you bite into that one with filling that reminds you of toothpaste. But the struggle is worth it for the caramel-filled one, right?

4. Candy hearts

Very hard to bite into. Not that yummy. But the sayings are super cute, and they seem like a super great treat until you try to eat them. And they make great table decorations if you ever need emergency confetti!

5. Valentine’s Day Peeps

Peeps are really trying to creep into every holiday. But don’t lie, you kind of love that giant pink marshmallow. Kind of.
