5 Important People You Forgot to Buy Gifts For

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WM chapter.

Tis the season to be jolly!  Before we leave campus in a few weeks, we cannot forget to give gifts to those who have helped us out the most this semester.  These are people we may not have even thought of.  There is no need to go out of your way to buy something extravagant.  A gift card and a thoughtful note will do!

Your RA makes those lovely bulletin boards each month, helps you out when you’re in trouble, and plans fun events for your hall.  All this hard work deserves a little gift, and she will be so thankful!

The Cleaning Staff goes above and beyond their call of duty.  Not only do they work long hours cleaning our filth, they are all so friendly and personable.  A card signed by your hall and a gift card as a token of your appreciation will go a long way.

Someone who wrote you a recommendation spent time out of his or her day to help you land that job/ internship you’ve been longing for.  Although you should have already written them a thank you note upon their completion of the recommendation, a gift card wont hurt!  It could even help you score another letter from them in the future

The folks at the Career Center that helped you with your resume, mock interview, or on your job search.  Their help has prepared you for your future. The least you can do is send a card expressing your thanks.

Your Roomie who has put up with your messiness, mood swings, and/or erratic sleep schedule.  Even if you have had a hard time with your roommate, just think to yourself “would I want to live with me?”  They deserve a gift to for dealing with you through the good and the bad.
