3 Tips for Staying Stylish During Midterm Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WM chapter.

How can you look cute when you’re busy studying for those midterms that are a HUGE part of your grade? Well, here are some tips for staying stylish that you should check out when you have a minute to peel your eyes away from your textbooks!

Keep it comfy. You don’t want to be adjusting your belt or pulling down the hem of your skirt all day when you’re testing; wear pieces you know are comfortable. My favorites are the J. Crew pixie pants (they slim the look of your legs and are super easy to wear, plus they match everything), dolman sleeve tops (so there’s nothing tight on your arms) and equestrian boots (they have the power to tie almost any look together and you can wear super cozy socks underneath them– pick ones with a low heel).

Check the weather. You definitely don’t want to wake up feeling good about an exam and step outside and get drenched. Make sure you know what the weather will be like during your midterms and plan accordingly, especially since it’s been cold and rainy lately. You can break out a cute umbrella and pair of rain boots like these.

Pick out your outfits ahead of time. Time is precious during midterm season so you cant afford to lose time picking out your outfit the night before. Style some outfits ahead of time and take pictures of them so you can just throw them on the morning of your big test (plus, you’ll feel more prepared!). Wearing sweats may be tempting but you’ll feel much more confident and put together if you have a great outfit on.

So keep it comfortable with non-restricting clothes that are appropriate for the weather and that you know look good because you didn’t pick them out in a rush.
