Women’s Tell All Recap

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

It’s a well-established fact that this season of The Bachelor could very well go down as the worst season of all time. However, last night’s Women Tell All proved to be a light at the end of the tunnel with the ladies providing some much-needed entertainment. Although Nick Viall is certainly not the most dynamic Bachelor, all of the ladies this season were stunning, smart, and outspoken, and last night we got to really hear them. Here are the biggest takeaways from the Women Tell All.

1. Chris Harrison did what Chris Harrison always does

As always, Chris Harrison declared that this was “the most controversial season of all time!” Shocker! Obviously, Chris Harrison is one for the dramatics. However, in last night’s episode, Chris Harrison decided to step beyond his expertise as moderator to give some words of advice to none other than the Backstreet Boys. In a viewing party with Nick and the members of our favorite childhood band, Chris suggested that the Backstreet Boys name their next album “emotional intelligence.” Good one, Chris!

2. Alexis finally admitted her costume was indeed a shark

I hate to see a girl’s dreams crushed, but last night Alexis the dolphin lover finally saw the light and admitted her costume was a shark. She was clearly embarrassed but laughed it off, as any good dolphin lover should. Power to you, girlfriend. As a consolation, Chris Harrison declared that Alexis is the best dolphin on TV since Flipper. Just call him funny guy Chris! 3. The claws were out and ready for Corinne

Not even Chris could keep the girls under control when it came to the topic of Corinne. From napping to having a nanny, the girls aired their grievances, but as always, Corinne took it like a champ. She responded in the most Corinne way possible with the statement, “everybody naps just like everybody poops.” It wasn’t all hate though as some girls like Lacey (yeah, I can’t put a name to that face either) defended Corinne and said the other girls shouldn’t care so much about what she was doing.4. Liz in the hot seat

Liz, who hooked up with Nick at Jade and Tanner’s wedding, faced the girls and kind of answered our questions about why she ever came on the show. Most of the time she was talking the camera cut away to the girls rolling their eyes as all of us were doing the same from home. I mean really, girl? Liz totally could have reached out to Nick before and wouldn’t have had to compete against 20 other girls for his attention. It makes no sense, and she couldn’t convince anyone that her intentions were pure. That being said, it definitely sucks to get shamed on national TV, and Liz addressed this stating, “you deserve to be fought for, no matter your shape or sexual past.” Preach!5. Corinne vs. Taylor

It’s the battle we have all been waiting for, and let me just say: #TEAMCORN!!! What did we learn from Corinne and Taylor’s fight? Taylor’s still delusional. Many of the other contestants agreed that Taylor acted too good for everyone. At one point, Taylor started to fake cry and said she feels shamed for helping people and defended herself about being called a bully. And then what did she do? She said Corinne asked for it. I think we can safely assume that these two will never be friends.6. Waterworks during Kristina’s story

Chris Harrison brought Kristina up on the stage to discuss her move from Russia and all that she has overcome. All the girls cried as Kristina talked about dreaming of living in color in America, bringing awareness to all of our privilege amongst all the hairspray and petty fights. I have faith that this girl will do big things.7. Finally, we get Nick

Okay, I’ll admit I’m definitely anti-Nick. But, I think he handled the tell all better than expected. Although his only consolation to the girls was that he saw “potential” and had a “good connection” with, his eyes weren’t darting around like they normally do and he seemed more comfortable. Finally! Yet, Nick still managed to annoy me as, unlike most Bachelors or Bachelorette’s, he wouldn’t say whether or not he’s happy. I’ll die if Nick doesn’t pick anyone and we have to see him on Bachelor in Paradise again.8. Forget Nick, it’s Rachel’s time now

Although the fact that Rachel will be the next Bachelorette was leaked long before she was sent home, I’m excited to watch her next season. It’s an understatement to say it’s about time that there was a black Bachelorette, but Rachel said she hopes this isn’t the only focus of her journey. We hear you, girl! This “Women Tell All” brought all the drama we have so desperately needed this season. I know for many of us it’s been hard to say goodbye to Corinne, but tune in next week to see who Nick picks (…or doesn’t pick?). We’ll just have to wait and see.
