What To Wear: Badger Game Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

The energy and excitement around game day is second to none on our campus. As much as we all love our Badgers, the tailgating and game experience isn’t exactly home to fashion’s best. With the cold weather and three exciting games falling upon us (Minnesota, Michigan State, and Ohio State) it’s time for us to help you take your spirit-wear into seriously stylish territory. Turn those tacky bookstore finds into fashion-forward game changers. Check out these three game day outfits that won’t get you mistaken for a frat pledge.

No need to fret about the weather cooling down in this outfit. A black vest or coat won’t take away any spirit because it’s all about the footwear! Showing a little sock with a cute pair of boots or loafers will cause your ankles to turn heads, plus they’ll keep your feet extra warm and cozy.

If the last time you tried on a baseball cap was in tee-ball practice, you’re missing out on a seriously stylish goldmine. Wear it backwards, pull a ponytail through the back, or just pop it on over a daily hairstyle. Put on a denim top (if you don’t have one by now, it’s seriously about time to make the purchase) and a red pair of Chuck’s for a trendy look! A cute scarf with complementing colors will tie it all together.

Sporting this cute hat and crew neck may possibly be the best way to show school spirit, second to actually hopping into Bucky Badger’s costume. Pair the two with some red skinnies for a bold look and you’re sure to be a standout. After the game, take the pride with you to the party by ditching the hat, switching up the sweatshirt for a cute black or white top and popping on a pair of black heels!
