Today I’m going to take a stand, a bold stand against a disturbing trend.

Ladies (and any men out there) you are not ugly in your glasses. So stop saying it.

Now, perhaps you feel that way, but then I raise the question-Why did you buy those glasses if they don’t make you feel good? You don’t put on a $100+ shirt and decide you look ugly in it only to buy it anyways!

Stop thinking about your glasses as a hindrance and start thinking about them as an accessory.  This may seem like a daunting task, but don’t worry! I know just who you can go to for some help.

see is a glasses store that’s been around for 15 years and has  just recently opened their first store in Madison. Upon walking inside, it’s easy to see why they settled on State Street for their first location in Wisconsin.

The store has a classy, yet urban feel to it. All of the staff look professional and are completely dressed in black so they’re easy to spot, especially in contrast to the stark white walls of the store.

The walls make a great canvas for the main feature: the glasses.

see has a unique concept when it comes to their product. Instead of going and buying through designer brands they buy specific frames and work with their own designers to make their style of the frames. There’s also a limited number of every frame made, so the buyer knows they’re getting something special.

Of course for the indecisive buyer, this can pose some problems; if you wait too long to decide on the pair you want it could easily be sold out next time you come back in.

The frames themselves are very fashion forward, which is especially great for someone trying to use their glasses not only for vision, but as an accessory as well.

Understand the latest fashion trends are only part of the appeal see offers.  Their commitment is to giving the best frames at the best prices, thus their “hip without the rip” slogan. Student budgets are given special consideration with a student discount. The price of frames is also kept down since they buy them directly from the factory.  Sunglasses are an especially good deal as they’re priced at $99 year round.

Anyone looking for an extra deal can also sign up on their website to get special promotions.

So after all this would I say see is for everyone? No. The customer best suited to them is decisive and wants to make a statement. Is it worth checking out no matter what? Yes. The unique experience and money saving value makes it a worthy option of checking out.
