MY FAVORITE SATC LOOKS

For each of the main characters

The show Sex and the City, created by Darren Star in 1998, was the pinnacle of late 90s and early 2000s fashion. Known for its unstable love stories and gorgeous shoe, bag and dress features, SATC definitely has fans obsessing over the women’s outfits. Each of the four main characters has their own unique style, and all are far from boring. While some looks are certain to cause a stir among fans, others are certainly iconic, due to their designer pieces and unique pairings. In no particular order, I’m here to give my own personal favorite looks of Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, Charlotte York and Samantha Jones.

Carrie Bradshaw, the show’s main character, is known for her messy love life and shoe obsession. Additionally, her bag collection is incredibly iconic, as shown above. This outfit features a red-and-black tank top, her beloved “Carrie” necklace, and a Fendi Baguette purse. Carrie rocks her natural hair in a half-up, half-down style.

Miranda loves to style a suit, and she pulls it off well. One of her outfits was exceptional with red heels, a white blouse and a silver necklace. In true Miranda fashion, her stunning red hair makes every outfit.

I absolutely adore this look by Charlotte York, who spruces up a plain black fit with a gorgeous dusty-pink jacket and light-pink fur lining. The sheer black tights and knee-high black boots make this look especially memorable. While sideparts have lost popularity in recent years, Charlotte’s sidepart is timeless in my opinion, and looks especially fabulous with this fit.

As for Samantha Jones, this hot pink pantsuit is a symbol of her bold style. I love the matching earrings and star brooch pin on the collar, which show the power of intentionally accessorizing. The open-toed heels and black buttons really tie the whole outfit together, contrasting with the all-pink outfit. Her stylist absolutely killed it with the matching pink shopping bag, as if it were designed for Samantha herself.
And just like that… these are my four favorite Sex and the City outfits! These four ladies are sure to rock head-turning outfits everywhere they go. From a workout class to a fashion show, SATC knows how to build an iconic look. I hope these outfits have given you some outfit inspiration or encouraged you to watch the show if you haven’t already.
