The reviews are in…CLUB ONE
Ok, here it is. As promised, I will give you all a full synopsis of my night at the season opener at Club One.
The night began at my friend’s apartment, where I was told there was going to be a huge party before the party. Oddly enough, I arrived at his apartment to find two other people there – but it’s ok, I could work with that. We were all so excited for this Club One that we were able to make our own party juuuust fine.
At 10 p.m. (super early by Argentine standards), we were ready to go. We piled into a cab and raced to Club One – unfortunately, I cannot even begin to describe the whereabouts of this club. We had driven way uptown, which is typically very swanky. However, the cab pulled into this teeny-weeny alleyway, and it definitely didn’t look like we were in Kansas anymore. Throngs of Argentine twenty-somethings filled the street, and they all seemed to be surrounding a tiny, nondescript door. Of course, there were so many people that you were lucky if you could find the door, or push your way through the masses to get there. I was instantly overwhelmed and, being the uptight, type-A personality that I am, immediately looked around for an escape route in case of emergency.
My momentary panic attack came to an end, though, when my friend told us in a very stern voice to please make a chain and link hands with the person in front of you – NOW. I did as I was told and before I knew it all seven of us were inside.
The view from inside was wild: I have never seen so many people in one place, ever. The club was three floors, and people were dancing manically on each one. Everyone was facing a giant screen at the head of the club, which was flashing with different, bizarre images (i.e. random scenes from the film 300).
We made our way to the VIP section of the club (don’t ask me how we did this, I just went along for the ride) on the second floor and settled into a nice routine of dancing frantically for a solid ten minutes, followed by a twominute water break. The only interruption came when I accidentally danced into a VIP table next to me, causing buckets and buckets of expensive drinks to come crashing to the ground. Naturally, I sprinted in the other direction and hoped the entire incident would go unseen (it didn’t), but by then it was the wee hours of the morning and I was about ready to wrap up my night anyway.
All in all, the night was a blast; I would highly recommend Club One to any and all visitors to BA. To get a better feel for what Club One was all about, check out these pictures.

Not the most flattering photo, but you can see my krazy dance skillz nonetheless.
