Rainy Day Blues
Rainy days are pretty much always a bummer, no matter where you are. Unfortunately, the rainy season in BA is upon us, and we’ve been forced to get creative with our activities. Although some quality tanning time in the park would be great, here are some alternate options when the weather just doesn’t go your way.
- Go see a movie! This concept isn’t exactly reinventing the wheel, but it’s a perfect solution to a rainy day. Choose a flick you wouldn’t normally go for, and you might surprise yourself; who woulda thunk I like Spanish-language thrillers?! Save some money and bring your own popcorn – I highly recommend kettle corn for a sweet spin on a salty treat.
- Hit up the mall. Also not a novel idea, but a mall trip is always fun. Given my current status as a broke college student, though, I much prefer window-shopping to the real thing. And who knows, you might stumble upon an unexpected and fabulous sale while you’re there!
- Make your own fun! Go to the grocery store and buy some ingredients to make a delicious feast for you and your friends. Pop in a movie afterwards, and you’re set.
