The Weekend Ahead…
This coming weekend I will be venturing to Chile for what will definitely be one of the craziest, most overwhelming, most ridiculous experiences of my life. For this first time in history, the music festival Lollapalooza will be going international – and their first destination is Santiago.
Last year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Lollapalooza is held every summer in Chicago, and usually lasts about three days. Musical artists of all genres (i.e. Lady Gaga, Green Day, Matt & Kim) gather for the occasion, and thousands of concertgoers flock to the festival to witness the spectacle. After 20 successful years, Lollapalooza has decided to broaden its horizons by traveling to Santiago…and scheduling a pretty solid lineup. Headliners for Lolla Chile include Armin van Buuren (only the best DJ in the world, no big), The Killers and Kanye West. Obviously, I will be at each and every one of these fabulous shows.
Here’s the catch: Santiago, Chile, is apparently nowhere near Buenos Aires. Flights between the two cities are limited and a bit pricey, so I will be roughing it and taking a 20-hour – I repeat, 20-HOUR – bus ride there and back. Thus, tomorrow morning I will book it to the nearest convenience store to buy out their entire selection of travel games. If they have any.

Anywho, I’m juuust about to go to sleep and prepare for my big weekend adventure…but don’t fret, because my next post will be an in-depth analysis of the entire two-day festival. But in the meantime, I’ll leave you with the link to Lolla Chile so you can see the magic for yourself.
