Life Lessons from Lizzie McGuire

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

Do you remember this awesome show!?

Lizzie, Miranda and Gordo were three totally normally pre-teens struggling with growing up, finding the perfect outfit and not being “cool enough.” I’m sure we could all relate. But between their humor and sarcasm, this show actually offered a lot of good advice…

1.    Be yourself. If people don’t like who you are, too bad.

2.    Being a fangirl is 100% O.K.

3.    Clearly guys and girls can have sleepovers.

4.    Have no shame taking advantage of free stuff

5.    Focus on who you are, not how you look.

6.    Through thick and thin, best friends are forever.

7.    And don’t take those friends who have always been there for granted.

So appreciate yourself for who you are and try to make the most of everything life offers you. Somehow, you’ll find a way through it all—just like Lizzie.
