Perfect late night spots for UW Madison students
After a night out and about, there is nothing better than a comforting and convenient meal. Here are a few spots that will keep the good times going at the end of your nights, or make an adventure out of a night in:
1. Ian’s Pizza
Starting off with a Madison staple, you can never go wrong with Ian’s Pizza. The State Street and North Frances Street locations both offer pizza by the slice or whole, which are perfect after a long day (or night). As any Madison resident knows, Ian’s thing is its large variety of unique flavors; my personal favorite is mac and cheese, but they also have flavors such as barbeque chicken, ravioli, nacho and many more. Open until 2:00 A.M. on the weekends, Ian’s is one of the best places for a satisfying meal after a night out.
2. Conrad’s
Conrad’s, a midwest classic, is another popular late-night spot in Madison. Conrad’s is arguably the ideal post-night-out meal. Conrad’s serves wraps and sides, but what sets Conrad’s apart from the rest is what they put in their wraps; Conrad’s wraps can include ingredients such as tater tots, scrambled eggs, french toast sticks, bacon or mac and cheese. A Conrad’s classic is “The Dweeb,” which has chicken tenders, mac and cheese, tater tots, cheddar cheese, bacon and ranch. It is open until 2:00 or 3:00 A.M. Conrad’s offers almost endless combinations of all of their different specialties, and their meals are always perfect to end a night.
3. Taco Truck
Right off of Langdon, the Taco Truck is a college kid favorite. Most weekend nights, there is always a line waiting to get food from the Taco Truck. Something about their burritos, quesadillas and (of course) tacos is so appealing to Madison students, especially late at night. The Taco Truck is definitely a unique spot, and it is almost guaranteed to be open later than whenever you plan on going home. So, if you are in the mood for a taco or a burrito, the Taco Truck will most likely be there for you right on State Street.
UW-Madison students are always in good hands when it comes to quality and convenient food. Day and night, there are so many options to choose either on or around state street, and going to these places can definitely add to your nightly adventures.
