It’s Back…

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

It’s spring in Madison and we all know what that means: terrace chairs, thawed lake, food carts, and the farmer’s market. I can’t imagine spending my Saturday any other way than walking around Capitol Square in the sunshine! Here are six reasons for you to check out the Madison Farmer’s Market this summer.

1. Nearly 200 area farmers sell home grown produce which means there’s never a shortage of fresh fruits and veggies.

2. You’ve spent the last seven months hidden from the outdoors… it’s time to get back out and enjoy the lovely spring weather!

3. Our market is somewhat of a legend: it’s known as the largest producer-only famers market in the country!

4. The amount of puppies surrounding the market is INSANE.

5. Not only is there an endless supply of fresh food, but the street artists are amazing. Today my roommate got pulled from the crowd by a magician who is creating in the world champions of magicians this year (who knew there was such a thing…)!

6. The warmer it gets, the more shirtless men.

Check out the Madison Farmers Market Saturday mornings from 6:00AM-2:00PM.Happy shopping, Collegiettes!
