How to Wear: The Sporty A-line

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

Wait, am I actually seeing sun out my dorm window or is this a delusion? Spring may actually be coming… I feel like this is a cause for celebration, ladies. So, in honor of this sunny weather and the official start of springtime I propose we finally dust off the dresses! This spring, the sporty A-line is everywhere – a basic cotton one is a necessity! For all of you lucky ones off to Cancun or PCB and all those warm places, get to the mall and pick one up as a last minute buy!

Outfit 1: Fabulously Fresh

This H&M mint A-line is my new favorite piece for spring. It’s so versatile and only $15! Put it over a lace collared button up, oxfords, a cross-body for a fresh look that screams spring. Perfect for class, lunch dates, or window shopping!

Outfit 2: Sporty Chic

Take your dress from sweet to sporty. Pair it with a varsity jacket and some sneakers to show off your competitive, boyish side. I’m honestly obsessed with these mint, studded sneakers from Steve Madden. And with some Ray Bans… I mean how cute is this combo?

Outfit 3: Red Hot

Take your sporty A-line from day to night. A red A-line dress with your moto jacket and gladiators is a perfect ensemble for dinner or a night out! A gold statement necklace just adds that extra “oomph” to the look.

It's my first year at UW-Madison and I couldn't be happier. With school, friends, writing, tweeting, pinning, online shopping, eating, drinking coffee, sleeping, LAUGHING, and loving - life is bueno. And, I mean, I create outfits and write about them on one of the greatest websites for college ladies. How could it get any better?
