The dorms that hold so many fond memories in our minds and the show that holds such a warm place in our hearts. What character would your first college room pair up with?
Dejope: Jim Halpert
Dejope is the lakeshore dorm home to many of Wisconsinâs athletes, therefore housing lots of the most crush worthy boys on campus. Jim Halpert has been my fictional man crush since day one, so it seemed fitting. Likewise, as Jim is super interested in being buddy-buddy with anyone at work, most of the athletes seem to stay within their own social groups too. Therefore I must award Dejope with âThe Big Tuna.â
Sellery and Witte: Kelly Kapoor and Meredith Palmer
Buying right into the âParty Dormsâ stereotype, Sellery and Witte get Meredith and Kelly. Between Meredith being an alcoholic and Kelly being an emotional rollercoaster, both characters are nothing but a mess. Known for getting wasted at work parties and random in-office hook-ups, itâs undeniable that Kelly and Meredith know how to have a good time, but they are lacking a little bit in self-control⌠So congratulations Sellery and Witte.
Elizabeth Waters: Erin Hannon
Liz Waters was an all-girls dorm up until a few years ago, but as times have changed it is now a co-ed dorm. Waters, like Erin, is a lot more fun than her outward appearance and reputation give her credit for. Although seemingly so sweet and soft-spoken, Liz knows how to have a good time! Once referred to as âthe virgin vaultâ and now, commonly known as âLIT Waters,â like Erin, Elizabeth Waters might have a different identity than expected.
Kronshage: Toby Flenderson
I really couldnât give Krons anyone but Toby. Could anyone else really fit? In all honesty Toby is one of the nicest guys in The Office, and Kronshage is known for their lovely residents.Â
Leopold: Dwight Schrute
This comparison goes along with a personal anecdote. One time my friend was in Leopold and decided to check out the greenhouse on the roof of the building, a feature that sets Leopold apart from the other Lakeshore dorms. While up there, she met a guy who said he was making âacorn butter.â Therefore Leopold, you and no one else deserves the title of Dwight Schrute. As the only dorm that could possibly allow Dwight to continue Schrute Beet Farms during collegeâheâs all yours.
Smith: Ryan Howard
Ryan was the one of Dunder Mifflinâs youngest corporate officials. Smith is one of the nicest dorms on campus: huge rooms, spacious living areas, good location⌠and mainly upperclassman. So, when a freshman gets into Smith, it leaves everyone wondering the same question as when Ryan got the position at corporate: how did someone so young, get such a nice position?
Off-Campus Housing (Lucky and The Hub): Angela Martin
Of course as everyone is satisfied with living in a dorm freshman year, Angelaâs standards are much too high to ever live in a dirty, old dorm her first year. People who do not experience dorm life at least once get Angela because she is picky, complains about small things, and prefers her life to be very private. Not to mention, dormitories donât allow cats.
Chadbourne: Michael Scott
As the most central dorm on campus, I had to give Chad the name of the most central man in the office: Michael Scott. From the outside colorful and odd architecture, you canât be sure what to expect from Chadbourne. Similarly, you can never know what youâre going to get from Michael. Chad is also located right across the street from Grainger, officially titling it âWorldâs Best Boss.â
