It’s a lot harder to mess up when putting together an outfit consisting majorly of neutrals. That way, even if the pieces themselves are a disaster, his color palette will be on point. When he starts to buy bright pieces, there’s a possibility he’ll end up looking like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber.
Another very easy, but effective rule to give him is absolutely no sweatpants. They’re great for lounging around the house or covering up your workout shorts, but that’s about it. Guys have no excuse to wear sweatpants out of the house anyway! Their jeans are baggy and comfortable already, and they don’t make you as embarrassed when out in public.
When it comes to buying clothes for your guy, leather jackets are always a yes. I have never seen a guy that doesn’t look hot in a leather jacket. They’re trendy, sexy, and have a bit of that bad boy feel that, let’s be honest, all girls love. So next time you’re shopping with your guy, skip the pea coats and trenches and head straight for the leather!
