25 Reasons Why Fall is the Best Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

It’s that time of year again, when the warm summer air becomes a little more brisk, and the leaves begin to trickle one by one to the ground. Although it is sad to see the sunny summer weather and freedom come to an end, the autumn season is something wonderful to look forward to. Here is a list of things that you can take advantage of this season.

1.The wide array of boots. Black, brown, short, tall…the styles are endless!

2. Sweaters…The bulkier the better!

3. Pumpkin picking and carving because who doesn’t love roasted pumpkin seeds?

4. Caramel apples and caramel apple suckers, too!

5. The ability to walk to class without sweating excessively and sitting in class not shivering.

6.  Sunday Night Football

7. Tailgates with family and friends. It doesn’t matter if it is high school, college or pro, it’s bound to be a great time!

8.  Beautiful scenery as the weather changes

9. Thanksgiving

10. Stuffing

11. Halloween. College is the best time to get your friends together and dress up as your favorite characters.

12. The smell; you know, the one that reminds you of all things fall combined.

13. The feeling that it’s okay to cuddle up inside and watch movies all Saturday long with absolutely no regret.

14. Falling leaves and the crunching beneath your feet as you walk.

15. Apple picking which inevitably leads to homemade apple pies.

16. Hayrides.

17. Taking afternoon naps.

18. It is the perfect in-between temperature to help you adjust before the brisk winter cold.

19. Scarves are in style again, and they are adorable!

20. Oktoberfest and a little hard cider to go with it.

21. Bonfires.

22. Homecoming.

23. The holidays are just around the corner.

24. Hot chocolate and apple cider.

25. Seasonal Drinks at Starbucks… Can you say Pumpkin Spice Latte?
