FRIENDS has been an iconic television show for as long as I can imagine.
I grew up watching it, and when it was added onto Netflix, I binge-watched the entire series. I’ve taken quizzes to see what “Friends” character I am most like, and I always get the same result: Rachel Green. The more I think about it, the more I realize that I am like her character ina multitude of ways. I use to only think of myself being like her because I loved the way she dressed, and I used it as inspiration for my outfits, but we have a lot more in common.
1. She had to get a job
At the beginning of the series, Rachel had to get a job as a waitress to provide for herself. This I can extremely relate to because I had to become financially independent, and be able to hold my own waitressing job all the while being a full-time college student. She doesn’t want to be a waitress, but she also doesn’t have a clue on what else to do. So, she pushes through her waitressing job.
2. She thought she could cook… keyword: thought
Remember the episode where Rachel was in charge of making the Thanksgiving dessert? If it wasn’t for those cookbook pages getting stuck, her dessert would’ve turned out fine.. right? It’s okay Rachel, I’m not the best in the kitchen either!
3. She doubted herself for a bit
We’ve all been there. Life can be a lot, and you feel like everything is coming at you all at once. But it’s okay! Because at the end of the day, you’re a boss and you can overcome any obstacle!
4. She tried to do laundry, and failed
So you separate the whites and the darks.. right? And how many tide pods…??
5. She was upset because taxes were taken out of her paycheck
As if having to go out and find a decent paying job wasn’t enough, now we have to get money taken out of our paychecks.. for TAXES? Bleh!!!
6. She had to deal with haters
But we’re so great! We’re a ball to be around, why don’t people want to be our friend? Their loss!
7. She was heartbroken because her best friend was hanging out with her frenemy
It’s fine for friends to hang out with other people, even if you don’t necessarily like them but that doesn’t mean that it won’t hurt your heart even just a tiny bit.
8. She felt like everyone but her had their life together
It’s easy to feel like you’re stuck – especially when everyone around you is getting engaged, or graduating. But hang in there Collegiates! We’ll all be done soon enough!
9. She has a bit of a temper
Let’s face it though, there’s always at least ONE thing that really pushes our buttons.
10. She’s fabulous
Her style, the way she carries herself, everything about her is just great!
