New Starbucks Drinks to Try (From an Actual Starbucks Barista)

One thing that many people know about me is that I love coffee of all kinds, and I am willing to try coffee of all kinds. So, when I got my job at my on-campus Starbucks and learned I can make any tall drink I wanted for free, I was beyond overjoyed. This new and total freedom led to me experimenting with drinks, and as I added different modifications I found a few that I became obsessed with.

Here are a few new drink combinations from a Starbucks barista with free time:

1. A frappuccino for those with a sweet tooth

I made this drink when I was craving something sweet that did not contain too much caffeine, and it will now be on my regular drink rotation. If you like caramel, this one is for you:

A caramel frappuccino with white mocha and caramel crunch topping

This may seem simple, but the combination of the white mocha and the caramel was a match made in heaven. It is extremely sweet though, so I would order it with a savory food item over a pastry to balance it out.

2. A Very refreshing refresher

One of my coworkers actually told me about this one, and this is the perfect non-coffee drink for me. It is fruity and a great refresher for those who can’t decide between apple juice and lemonade, because it has both! Order:

A mango dragonfruit refresher with lemonade, apple juice, and raspberry syrup.

This drink tastes like summer in a cup, and it has been bringing me joy through these cold winter shifts. It is good with or without the berries added, even though I personally prefer extra berries.

3. A drink for those who love sunsets

This is another drink created by my lovely coworkers, and it was made to look like our school’s colors, garnet, and gold. Order:

A lemonade with passion tea poured on top–and if your store has it–pineapple inclusion

This drink is more on the bitter side, but adding liquid cane sugar can help. This is a good drink if you want a refreshing drink that is not too sweet.

3. A boosted sugar cookie almond milk

The Sugar Cookie almond mild drink is already amazing hot or iced on its own, but I have found that adding white mocha or brown sugar syrup creates an extra boost of sweetness that will boost your mood.

5. a fruity honey citrus mint tea

I learned about this one when we ran out of peach tranquility tea, and although I have not tried it customers who have tried it have all seemed to overall enjoy it. Order:

A honey citrus mint tea with steamed apple juice to replace the peach tranquility.

What I have been told about this drink is that the apple juice gives it a fruitier flavor, with the same benefits!
