Imagine covering one of your favorite artists’ songs, posting it to YouTube, and having them see it and sign you to their record label.
That’s exactly what happened to Chloe and Halle Bailey.
After uploading their viral cover of “Pretty Hurts,” Beyoncé signed the sisters to Parkwood Entertainment in 2013. Since then, Chloe x Halle have opened for Queen B on the European leg of The Formation World Tour and made cameos in Lemonade. Their debut EP, Sugar Symphony, was released in April 2016, and while Beyoncé’s influence is noticeable, Chloe x Halle are hardly baby Beys.
