Dear Pumpkin Spice Latte,

The time has come again where you make your grand reappearance at the most successful coffee shop in the world (and my mothership)—Starbucks. I have been counting down the days until I get to experience your steamed perfection once more. Your #flawless blend of spices cures any bad mood and your radiating warmth gives life to my weary soul. You are the shining star of Autumn and the king of all coffee. None can compare to your impeccable aroma and with one sip, you manage to fill all of my pumpkin related needs. You are an essential “hot” topic for any coffee fanatic—or a cool (icy) one (if that’s what you’re into). In fact, you are so popular, all of my social media timelines are doused in your homecoming.

There is none other like you, PSL. You’ve been there for me when I have needed you most—like the late nights at the library or just when the temperature drops below sixty degrees. Our love knows no boundaries—not even when the line exceeds the boundary of the store and spills out into the student center. My love for you trumps all else; whether it be your five-dollar per cup price tag when my bank account is running dry or the fact that I am at the back of the fifteen-foot line and my class starts in ten minutes. Priorities.

Oh PSL, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is none other who can compare to your beauty. I dread the day that the corporation steals you from the population to lock you away from the world, as they do at the end of every winter season.

As I have said before, love knows no boundaries and I will hold on to our love even after you must leave me. But for now, we can only enjoy each other’s presence while it lasts.

Peace, love, and PSL.

Sincerely,A Starbucks loving college student

HCXO
