Ever since I was a small child, I have had an intense love for animals. No matter the species, I could find a way to love any animal, and more importantly, a reason to be its new best friend – because that’s what animals are; they’re our friends. It is because of my soft spot for these sweet little babies that I firmly believe animals, just like people, deserve a safe, loving, and supportive environment in which they can grow and develop.
With that being said, I’d like to share with you guys what is probably my all-time favorite company: PAWZ.
Every year 3.7 million animals are euthanized; that’s one animal every 7 seconds (American Humane Association). 5 in 10 dogs and 7 in 10 cats in shelters are euthanized for no reason other than lack of room, and only approximately 10-20% of cats and dogs that are owned have been adopted from shelters (ASPCA). Ya’ll, these stats are scary. Take a moment to think about your pets at home, and how you would feel if they were sitting in a shelter, first on a list to be put down just because there wasn’t enough room or funds to support them.
While the reality of adoption shelters and the lack of space for these animals is enough to make any pet-lover sad, fear not, for I have good news!
PAWZ is a company that sells adorable clothes and accessories that donates 10% of profits from every single order to help save homeless animals! With each purchase you make, PAWZ will send a portion of the proceeds to StarkHumane.org. This money is then allocated to fund the protection, prevention, and care of sheltered animals in addition to promoting awareness of animal euthanasia!
