Best Events in Charlotte to ROCK the Month of September

Hello Collegiettes! Are you looking for fun things to do with your gals that are not on campus? You should definitely check out some of these events going on in Rock Hill and Charlotte!

They definitely fit under our college budget we have and it’ll be a fun day or night filled with memories with your close friends! Whether you’re into concerts, food trucks, plays, or the arts, there is definitely something there for you!


The Filmore Charlotte

A cool and modern venue held for music performances. General admission tickets are very cheap! Just remember, all the concerts at the Fillmore Charlotte are standing for the public, unless you are VIP, so always remember to wear comfortable shoes!

Wednesday 9/26 – Father John Misty @ 8:00 PM

Flow Fest – 9/22

The Flow Fest will be taken place at U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. It is a full day of yoga, wine, kombucha, and more in an outdoor setting. Yoga practices, meditations, and workshops will be set up throughout the center. There is also a Wild Vine Trail Race and DYNOMITE Bouldering Competition!


Art on Tap – 9/28

Art on Tap will be located at Gettys Art Center in Rock Hill. This event is from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM and admission to the event is free!! You can bring a lawn chair or a blanket to lay on in the parking lot. You can also buy original works of art and jewelry made by local artists. It’s affordable! Craft beer will start being served @ 5:00 PM. Two Chicks and Truck will provide food. $5 tickets for beer and t-shirt creation station (friendly for kids also!).

Samson: the Last Judge – 9/21 and 9/28

Samson: the Last Judge will be located at NarroWay Theatre & Conference Center in Fort Mill. It is a Mediterranean-themed dinner while watching an epic story come alive! There are three times you can attend to, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, and 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM.


Food Truck Friday – 9/21

The Food Truck Friday will be located at Fountain Park in Rock Hill. It is from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. You can bring a lawn chair and/or a blanket. Food trucks, Old Town restaurants, local beers, and wines will be set up throughout the park. There will be kid’s activities and live music. It’s free admission!


Piedmont Pottery and Pickin’ – 9/23

The Piedmont Pottery and Pickin’ will be located at Historic Brattonsville’s Hightower Hall in York County. This event is from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. There will be Live Bluegrass music and barbeque will be served. Traditional and contemporary potters will be selling their work.


Rock the Grill – 9/29

Rock the Grill will be located at Fountain Park in Rock Hill. This event will be held from 11:30 AM – 9:00 PM. There will be a state BBQ championship (including tasting). There will also be a car show, food trucks, moonshine tasting, live music, kids activities (including pony rides), and wood carving!
