Comedy shows have the best leading characters: Micheal Scott, Leslie Knope, Jessica Day, and more. We all know and recognize how funny they are, but there are so many supporting characters that make the shows infinitely better.
Here is a list of my favorite side characters from my favorite funny shows!
The Office
Kevin Malone
Kevin’s character is constantly funny. Every time Kevin is on screen something hilarious happens, and I lose it!
Dwight Schrute
Dwight is one of the weirdest side characters on TV. From his beet farm to his survival skills, Dwight is a hilarious character.
Parks and Recreation
Tom Haverford
His infamous line: “Treat yo self.” has been used by thousands of people around the world to justify their behavior. Tom is a gif legend.
Andy Dwyer
Andy, and his alter ego Burt Macklin, is way too funny. He is by far one of the best side characters to ever exist.

Morgan Tookers
Morgan is the inner weirdo we all are. From talking about living with his grandmother to doing Mindy’s laundry, Morgan is the best.

Abed Nadir
Abed is the side character who makes sure the plot keeps going. His character is constantly breaking the fourth wall, which is super fun for fans.
New Girl
Nick Miller
Nick is the spirit animal of every college student. He loves watching TV, drinking excessively, and doesn’t trust authority.
Scrubs
Hausmeister
Scrubs has been around forever, and it would be a crime not to mention Hausmeister. His constant torment of JD from the very first day is the best.
