It’s almost spooky season, Collegiettes, and we all know what that means!
It’s time for Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown on replay, baking Halloween cookies, and using our annual excuse to dress up in costume! But let’s face it – we’re all ballin’ on a budget. Quick, easy, cheap and most of all CUTE last-minute DIY Halloween costumes are what we all need in our lives to help us live out our dreams on the spookiest night of the year.
1. Netflix and Chill
As college students, one of our favorite things to do when we are procrastinating is to “Netflix and chill.” Name something cuter than these super easy best friend costumes!
Items Needed:
- Oversized solid red t-shirt or sweatshirt
- Oversized blue t-shirt or sweatshirt
- Sticker letters or paint marker (to write your own words)
- Sticker snowflakes or paint marker (to draw your own snowflakes)
That’s literally all you need for these adorable outfits. It’s THAT simple.
2. Boxing Queen
If you’re feeling a little feisty, this costume is for you – no one will be messing with you on Halloween night.
Items Needed:
- Sports bra or crop top and athletic shorts
- Silky robe
- Boxing gloves or knuckle tape
Move over Rhonda Rousey! With this costume, you’ll be the new boxing queen!
3. ’80s Girl
The ‘80s styles have been making a comeback, and we are here for it. There are so many different ways you can make this costume your own. After all, girls just wanna have fun!
Items Needed:
- Colorful leggings
- Scrunchies
- Body suit
- Leg warmers
- Sweatband
Grab your hairspray, a few items out of your mom’s closet, and you’re all set!
4. Rosie the Riveter
Rosie the Riveter is the epitome of a strong woman! There is no one else I’d rather be for Halloween, and this look is so simple.
Items Needed:
- Denim Shirt
- Red Bandana
- Jeans
- Combat boots
Put your Rosie face on, ladies. We can do it!
5. Minnie Mouse
Minnie Mouse was my very first girl crush, EVER! How cute is she? You could adopt Minnie’s class and sass with this adorable costume.
Items Needed:
- Red Skirt or Tutu
- Black top
- Minnie Mouse ears
