Sara Vincent: Fitness Guru

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winona chapter.

Meet this week’s campus celebrity, Sara Vincent! Coming from Ramsey MN, this girl is quite the busy-body. Sara is a senior, double majoring in Health and Physical Education and minoring in DAPE (Developmental Adaptive Physical Education). If you spot her on campus, she is more than likely jogging to or from her second home, the IWC.

Sara is an energetic workout feign, which is why she is in the Hope Club, Phy Ed Club, Intramural Soccer Club, and a Student Fitness Instructor. She teaches Pilates and Butt and Gut on campus. She also coaches a middle school soccer team here in Winona. In her previous years at WSU, she was big into resident life, from being an RA on west campus to giving housing tours for incoming students. By far one of Sara’s favorite memories at WSU, was last year when she was homecoming queen and was able to enjoy all the exciting events that went along with that.

Traveling and taking in all types of culture is one of Sara’s passions. This summer she went on a 19-day vacation with her family to Europe, and some of her favorite spots included Croatia and Bosnia. When Sara has free time, she does not prefer to sit and relax. She would much rather be outside hiking, running, or doing anything involved with nature. But if she were to sit, she enjoys watching college basketball and football, while enjoying a fresh bag of carrots. She is also a huge fan of the US Women’s Soccer Team. Sara confesses that she would love to meet these girls and would not turn down the chance to give them a hug.

Sara considers herself a passionate, outgoing, and optimistic person. She strongly values the relationships she creates with her family and friends. Sara tries to live by the words that what is meant to be will be, and there is no need to stress.

Meet our writer Courtney D. Jones! Courtney is a junior at Winona State University majoring in Mass Communications- Advertising. She is consistently busy juggling school, working two jobs, and on the recruitment committee for Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, so coffee is a necessity. But not just any coffee, it must be Starbucks Blonde Roast, with a dash of peppermint mocha creamer and a fourth of a packet of sugar. She has a die-hard love for all things beauty and fashion, and dreams of owning everything on her Pinterest boards one day. With her bright and bubbly personality, she loves meeting new people and sharing a good laugh. As a Chicago native, her happy place consists of drinking a cold microbrew with her favorite Giordano’s deep-dish pizza while watching her beloved Bears team.
