There are two kinds of Pinteresters in this world, those who pin, and those who do. We want to help you go from do it yourself, to did it myself! Thrifty Thursdays will give you inspiration, and more importantly, direction on how to take your room from drab to fab.

This project is an easy one that any level of crafter can take on. Grab a cheap long mirror and remove the mirror and backing from the frame. This was the trickiest part of the process because you don’t want to cut yourself on the glass. This was a project I took on in my dorm room freshman year. Smashing a mirror, I’m guessing, is highly undesirable by your RA, but from my experience, totally do-able.
Once you have successfully removed the mirror, choose your accent color of choice for the room you would like to hang it in. I bought a small test sample size of interior paint from Home Depot and it was around $5. You won’t use all of the paint for this project, but it’s nice to have the same color for future projects as well.
Coat the frame a couple times to give it a nice finished look, and paint a couple clothes pins with the same color. Once the paint has dried and cured, all you need to do is hot glue the wire to the back of the frame and hang your photos! This is a great decoration for any room to show off your “family photos” of you and your roomies!
