In honor of National Bubble Tea Day, I thought it would be fun to list some of my favorite bubble tea drinks. I am an avid bubble tea drinker and one of the things I love about my job is that it is conveniently located a couple of blocks away from a bubble tea place in downtown Rochester. All the drinks listed below are from Tea Time in Rochester, MN.

1. Almond Milk Tea with Tapioca Pearls

Always my go-to when it comes to bubble tea drinks! I love the almond taste; it reminds me of marzipan, which I absolutely love. The only pairing I have found to work, to my liking at least, is with the regular tapioca pearls. It’s like a little snack along with your drink, and they taste so good!

2. Passion Fruit Blended Bubble Tea with Mango Burst Pearls

For something fruity and refreshing, this is definitely my second choice! The passion fruit is so clean, refreshing, and fruity. The perfect drink on a hot summer day, or when you want to get something a little different. I love getting drinks with the burst pearls because it’s a little hint of juice that pops in your mouth while drinking. It may seem like an odd pairing, but trust me, it’s delicious!

3. Coconut Blended Bubble Tea with Tapioca Pearls

I recommend getting the coconut one blended rather than as a milk tea. To me, the coconut flavor is hindered in the milk tea, but more enhanced when blended. I personally prefer to pair it with the tapioca pearls, so it does not take away from the coconut flavor.

4. Cake Milk Brûlee

For dessert lovers, I highly recommend this one! The cake part is a pudding that lines the inside of the cup, and it’s so so good! It tastes just like cake batter and I love the texture of it added to the tea itself. No pearls are needed for this one (unless you want to); the tapioca pearls would be the best option.

5. Taro Milk Tea with Tapioca Pearls

For those who like classic bubble tea, taro milk tea is the best! I like the taste of the tea; it has a hint of vanilla and is also very sweet. I also recommend pairing this with the tapioca pearls; the lychee strips would be another good option as well if you like something gummier but still offers no flavor to take away from the tea.

From one bubble tea lover, to hopefully another, I hope that these suggestions are enjoyable to you as they are to me!
