Name: Peter BergausYear: SeniorHometown: Winona, MNMajor/Minor: Business Admin. / Business LawRelationship Status: Taken

Meet this week’s cutie– Peter. He was nominated with a very sincere anonymous submission that caught our attention. According to his admirer, he is considered an “All-American boy”.  But sorry ladies, this All-American boy is already taken!

HC (Her Campus): You’re originally from Winona, what made you want to stay in the area?PB (Peter Bergaus): I wanted to save money and I knew I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do. Then I found business and thought I’m already here, so I might as well stay.

HC: What have you been involved with on campus?PB: Honestly, not much. I would’ve liked to been involved in more, but working to pay off my school was more important to me.

HC: Our anonymous submission said you had an internship with a non-profit organization that helps single and teenage moms get on their feet. Tell us more about that.PB: I worked with Grace Place. I was their special events coordinator. Basically I was in charge of fundraising and putting on concerts. I found the talent for the concerts, did the advertising and found local companies to sponsor the events. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to any other student. Grace Place was a really good place to work.

HC: Is working for a non-profit something you could see yourself doing in the future?PB: It was a great internship opportunity, and I wouldn’t be opposed to working for a non-profit in the future. I think a lot of knowledge could transfer over.

HC: You were described as the “All-American Boy”, would you agree with that?PB: Humm…I guess that depends what an All-American boy is. You have to like baseball. I guess I never really thought of myself as an All-American boy. I thought of myself more as a Minnesota guy. I love my state.

HC: Are you interested in traveling?PB: I think it’s a great learning opportunity, and new experiences are good so I’m more than willing to go somewhere else.

HC: What is your favorite place you’ve traveled?PB: I went with my girlfriend’s family to Destin, Florida this past spring break and had a great time—excluding the sunburn from the first day.

HC: If you could be fluent in any language, which one and why?PB: German, just because my family has German ancestry. It would be fun to pair the harsh German language and my “Minnesota Nice” personality.

HC: What is your favorite hobby?PB: Ultimate frisbee in the summer.

HC: If you could be any celebrity for a day who would it be?PB: The current James Bond, Daniel Craig.

HC: If you had to eat one type of cuisine for the rest of your life what would it be?PB: Definitely Mexican food. Tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas…ugh, so good.

HC: Are you a morning bird or night owl?PB: Neither. If you catch me between 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. you’ll be okay.

HC: What do you look for in a girl?PB: Someone who is a genuinely good person, and just down to earth. That’s definitely the most important thing.

HC: Biggest turn off?PB: It’s not going to happen if a girl is rude or has bad grammar. Bad grammar gets to me. It’s probably because my mom is an English teacher.

HC: How does it feel to be a campus cutie?PB: It’s nice that some recognized me. I never thought of myself as a cutie.
