I love to travel and go on adventures in new places. I’ve been to Canada and many U.S. cities, but it’s been a year since my biggest adventure in Spain. Since then, I’ve been itching to travel again. I want to fill my passport up with stamps and have stories to tell other people. I want to try new foods and experience new cultures. As an art lover, I want to visit museums and see the fascinating architecture across the world. Here are my top travel destinations.

Italy

I want to go everywhere in Italy. I want to walk the streets of Rome, swim in the Mediterranean, visit museums in Florence and ride in a gondola in Venice. The architecture is amazing, and I can imagine that the food and wine are even better.

Paris, France

Two words: The Louvre. Oh, and the Arc du Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and San Chapelle Chapel. The history and sights there would make it hard for me to leave.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam is absolutely beautiful. The streets are picturesque and the Dutch are living their best life. I love history so I’d love to see the Anne Frank House as well. Plus, this city has an amazing night life.

New Zealand

New Zealand has the most amazing landscapes in the whole world. Adventures are everywhere and there is so much to do. Lord of the Rings was filmed there, so if you’ve seen the movies, you know the landscape. Plus, you can visit Hobbit Holes.

London, England

London is a center of Europe and there is so much history there. As a history nerd, it is near the top of my list. I also want my phone booth picture, I want to ride the London Eye and I want my picture at Platform 9 ¾.

Greece

The ancient architecture and ruins of Greece have long fascinated me. Again, as a history nerd, I want to visit so many places in Greece like Athens, but also go to Santorini and take a boat ride around the Greek Islands. I also love Mediterranean food, so I’d be in heaven.

Bueno Aires, Argentina

I’ve long been fascinated with Argentina and its unique culture. The city has a combination of European and Latin influences that resonate in the architecture and culture. I’ve also heard that the steak there is absolutely amazing, so I want to try it.

Ireland

Ireland is absolutely beautiful despite the gloomy weather. Everything is green, and the coastline looks amazing. I love Irish accents too, so that’s a plus. The scenery is so breathtaking that some of Game of Thrones was filmed there, and you can visit those locations.

Norway

I love Scandinavian countries and the history of them like Norse mythology and cultural changes. It would be a dream to go to Oslo and see the great fjords and get close to the edge of the troll tongue even though I am scared of heights. Scandinavian architecture and culture is extremely unique, and I want to go there so badly.

Costa Rica

While I am not a huge fan of tropical weather/climate, Costa Rica looks amazing. The beaches are incredible and are not filled with tourists like some places. I would like to walk through a Costa Rican rainforest and hold a sloth.

Peru

Do I mostly want to go to Peru because of Macchu Picchu? Yes, but Peruvian land is beautiful, mountainous, and amazing.

Stockholm, Sweden

My other favorite Scandinavian country is Sweden. Stockholm is built on 14 islands, so water runs through the city and it’s so pretty. Sweden is slightly less mountainous, but just as beautiful as Norway. Visiting the home of the Norse Vikings would be awesome.

Maybe you can add a few of these places to your own bucket list. Mine will keep growing, but ultimately I hope it shrinks until there is nothing left.
