It’s that time of the year again. The time where 50 degrees starts to feels like beach weather, the grass starts to turn green, and the city seems alive again. That’s right, you guessed it, it’s SPRING TIME! Also known as the time where people start to feel the need to deep clean their houses like the entire extended family is coming over, and let’s be real, we ALL know that feeling…

Well forget spring-cleaning this year; let’s start SPRING DATING! But if dating isn’t hard enough, throw in the fact that we live in a place where most people think the only recreational thing to do is drink. So instead of eyeing your crush up from the opposite side of the bar hoping they come talk to you, here are some simple, yet fun date ideas to start that perfect spring fling!

#1 Garvin Heights

It might be one of the most popular ones, but hey, who doesn’t like getting a little physically active with that special someone? Make sure to snap of picture of the two of you once you reach the top!

#2 Lake Lodge

Located on Lake Winona, this is also the perfect spot for those who enjoy being active. Whether you want to rent rollerblades, disk golf, canoe or kayak in the lake, or even just set up a picnic…Lake Lodge has all of your fun equipment needs, for only an annual fee of five dollars!

#3 Lakeview

After a relaxing stroll around the big lake, make sure to stop by Lakeview for one of their well-known homemade root beers, or a quick bite to eat.

#4 Blooming Grounds

Want a relaxing and quaint place to go on your date? If so, Blooming Grounds is the perfect place for you. Whether you want to grab a cup of coffee, get some food, or listen to live local artists perform, Blooming Grounds is a hot spot for first dates.

#5 Elmaro Vineyard

For those who are 21 or older, this is an amazing place to go with a beautiful scenery, and wine tasting to ease those first date jitters.  With an outside patio, and live music, Elmaro Vineyard is definitely a seasonal must!
